Requirements - Major
Theology majors must complete, with a grade of “C” or better, at least 36 semester credit hours of Theology courses or at least 33 semester credit hours of Theology courses and 3 semester credit hours of Religious Studies courses. At least 18 semester credit hours must be at the 3000 level or above, of which 6 semester credit hours must be at the 4000 level or above. The 36 semester credit hours must include:

In addition, majors must complete coursework in a language other than English through the MDLG 2202 level or establish a comparable level of proficiency by taking a formal proficiency exam. MDLG courses up through 2202 used toward the language requirement do not count toward the 36 semester credit hours for the major.
One Writing Intensive course must be completed within the major.
