Certificate Academic Policies
A minimum GPA of 3.000 in certificate applicable coursework is required to receive a certificate. Transfer credit is not accepted for elective courses toward certificates. Information on certificate offerings are available on the Academic Programs page.
Students completing a certificate during the completion of a degree program must apply for the certificate prior to completion of their degree program. Students cannot earn a certificate and a concentration for any degree program in the same subject. If a student earned a certificate from Benedictine University in a subject prior to starting a degree program that requires a concentration in the same subject, the department may make an exception to allow the student to graduate without the concentration if all other degree requirements have been satisfied or to earn both the certificate and concentration.
Students may work with the department chair, program director, or academic advisor on course selection.
